THUGLIST › Procrastination app
A procrastination app that fights back
Ignoring a to-do list costs nothing, so we ignore it. THUGLIST is a free Android app that adds a small, honest cost to missing the things you said mattered.

Writing a task down feels like progress. Then the deadline arrives, the reminder slides past, and nothing happens. No one notices, the task moves to tomorrow, and the list quietly turns into a record of things you meant to do. The problem is rarely the list. It is that skipping it is free, and the phone in your hand offers something easier every few seconds.
THUGLIST keeps the list simple and changes one thing: when an important deadline passes, something actually happens.
What happens when you miss a deadline
You choose which of these are on, and the app shows you the full list in advance:
- A written note saying which thing is late and by how long.
- A notification, like an ordinary reminder.
- An alarm at alarm volume, through silent mode.
- Your chosen apps lock until the late task is done, for up to two hours. How the app blocker works.
- The phone rings like a real call an hour later (Pro, off by default).
Ordinary tasks only ever remind you. Only tasks you mark important can do more.
Help with starting, not only with stopping
Most procrastination is trouble starting. Every task in THUGLIST can carry its very next step ("open the banking app", "write the three summary slides"), so the first move is small and obvious. A focus session puts one task and a timer on screen and can switch on Do Not Disturb. When you finish, it goes into a record of everything you have done, and a credit system rewards finishing and puts something at stake on each target.
Firm, but never a trap
Pressure only helps if you trust it. THUGLIST lets you pause for an hour or for the day, any day, at no cost. Quiet hours hold anything loud until morning. Every enforcement feature is off until you turn it on. If you would rather not be shouted at, it speaks plainly by default, and the Easy Read look is calm, high-contrast and never shouts.
For students in particular
Assignments have hard deadlines and phones have infinite feeds, which makes students the people this was made for. Put each assignment in with its due time, mark the ones that count as important, choose the two or three apps that eat your evenings, and start a focus session. If the deadline still slips, those apps stay shut until the work is in.
THUGLIST is a productivity app. It is not a medical device and does not treat any condition.
