DOOMLIST — Terms of Service
1. Who this agreement is with
These terms are an agreement between you and Zelicra Technologies Private Limited, a company registered in India (“Zelicra”, “we”, “us”). They govern your use of the DOOMLIST Android application.
By installing or using DOOMLIST you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, uninstall the app. Your use of Google Play is separately governed by Google’s own terms, which we do not control.
2. What DOOMLIST is, and what it is not
DOOMLIST is a productivity application. It keeps a list of things you intend to do, reminds you about them, and — if you switch those features on — applies pressure to help you actually do them: countdowns, alarms that can take over the screen, and a block screen over apps you chose to be blocked from during a focus session you started.
DOOMLIST is not a safety system. Do not rely on it for anything where a missed, late or suppressed reminder could cause harm — medication, medical appointments, childcare, travel, legal or financial deadlines, or any emergency. Android can delay, batch or suppress alarms and notifications for reasons entirely outside our control, including battery optimisation, Do Not Disturb, permission changes, force-stopping the app, and the device being off or out of battery.
DOOMLIST is not a medical device and is not therapy. It is not designed or tested to diagnose, treat, cure or manage any medical or psychological condition, including ADHD. Some people find deadline pressure motivating and some find it distressing. If DOOMLIST makes you feel worse, turn off the enforcement features, switch to one of the plain-spoken skins, or stop using it. If you are struggling, please speak to a qualified professional.
Focus blocking is not a security or parental control. You can end a session at any time, and the block screen can be bypassed by anyone with access to Android’s settings. It is a speed bump you set for yourself, not a lock.
3. The free version, the trial, and Pro
- DOOMLIST is free to install. A new installation begins with 14 days of full Pro access, with nothing to enter and nothing to cancel.
- When those 14 days end, the app continues to work as the free version. Your data is not deleted, hidden or held to ransom: everything you already created stays exactly where it is and stays readable and editable.
- The free version keeps the core of the app, including reminders, focus sessions and app blocking, and allows up to 100 targets. Pro-only features are marked in the app.
- Pro can be bought at any time, before or after the trial ends.
4. Buying Pro
Pro is sold only through Google Play Billing, in two forms:
| Plan | Price | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Pro Annual | INR 899 per year | An auto-renewing Google Play subscription. It renews yearly until you cancel. |
| Pro Lifetime | INR 2,499 once | A one-time purchase. It does not renew and is never charged again. |
The price shown to you in Google Play at the moment of purchase is the price that applies, including any local currency conversion, taxes and Google’s own regional pricing. We may change prices for future purchases; a change never affects a lifetime purchase you have already made, and changes to a subscription price are notified to you by Google before they take effect, with the option to cancel.
What “lifetime” means. A one-time payment with no recurring charge, for as long as we publish and support DOOMLIST on Google Play. It is a promise that we will not bill you again. It is not a promise that any software will exist forever.
If a renewal is late. An annual subscription keeps working for 7 days past its expiry date before Pro features lock, so a card that expires on a Friday does not disarm your reminders over a weekend.
5. Refunds and cancellation
Because every purchase is made through Google Play, Google handles payment, receipts, cancellation and refunds. We never receive your payment details and cannot process a refund or cancel a subscription ourselves.
- Cancel a subscription: in the Play Store app, or at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the period you already paid for ends.
- Request a refund: through Google Play, under Google’s refund policy.
If something has gone wrong and Google has declined a refund you believe you are owed, write to hello@zelicra.com and we will do what we can to help, though the final decision on a Play refund rests with Google.
6. Your data
DOOMLIST stores your data on your own device and we hold no copy of it. This is described in full in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Because we hold no copy, you are responsible for your own backups. If you lose, wipe or replace your device, or uninstall the app, your DOOMLIST data is gone and we cannot restore it. Use the export feature if the contents matter to you.
7. How you may use the app
DOOMLIST is licensed to you, not sold. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it on devices you control, for as long as these terms are respected.
You agree not to: resell or redistribute the app; attempt to obtain Pro features without paying for them, including by tampering with the app or its stored data; reverse engineer the app except to the extent that law expressly permits despite this restriction; or use the app to break any law.
8. Availability and changes
We may update DOOMLIST, change features, or stop publishing it. We will not remove a feature you paid for out of spite, but software changes and some things do get retired. If we discontinue the app entirely, versions already installed keep working for as long as your device and Android allow; we cannot guarantee that will be forever.
9. Disclaimer
DOOMLIST is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any reminder, alarm or block will be delivered or shown at any particular time. See section 2.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any right you have under consumer law that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, and subject to the paragraph above, Zelicra is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profit, lost opportunity, missed deadlines, or loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use DOOMLIST.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you actually paid us for DOOMLIST in the twelve months before the claim arose — which, for a free user, is zero.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction in India. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your own country.
12. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version is published at this address and the effective date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be announced in the app before the version that relies on them is released. Continuing to use DOOMLIST after a change means you accept the new terms.
